PAST PROGRESSIVE
The
progressive past (progressive past) is a very common verb tense in English. You
should know and be able to use it correctly.
How do we use this verb tense?
Past Progressive (progressive past) is a verb form that shows that the action was in
progress at a given time or in a given period in the past.
Example:
· Yesterday
at 7 o'clock Judi was washing the dishes.
(Ayer a las 7 horas Judi estaba lavando los platos.)
(Ayer a las 7 horas Judi estaba lavando los platos.)
· Judi was
washing the dishes the entire evening.
(Judi estaba lavando los platos toda la tarde.)
(Judi estaba lavando los platos toda la tarde.)
· He was sleeping all night long. (Estaba durmiendo toda la noche.)
· I wasn't resting, I was working!
